REMEMBERING THE BEST AKUMA UKWU MGBARAKUMA NEVER HAD

The Omeruoha I of Mgbarakuma and the former Traditional Prime Minister of Mgbarakuma Autonomous Community, Late High Chief Paul Nwokocha died on 8th January, 2016, just two weeks after he had celebrated his 80th Birthday. It would be recalled that Chief Nwokocha clocked 80 years on 26th December, 2015  and a get together party was held in his honour by his children. The celebration which took place in his compound attracted his friends, colleagues,  relations and numerous well wishers. And  any one who saw him on that occasion would never believe that he would die two weeks later. He looked fresh, healthy and youthful, going round to ensure  guests had enough to eat and drink. The news of his death came like a deadly blow on the people of Mgbarakuma more significantly the Umuoka village, where he hailed from. He died at the time Ndi Mgbarakuma, as well as Ubakala were still in dire need of his wise counsel and benefit from his rich fountain of knowledge. He was a role model in Mgbaraku

NSUKWE COMMUNITY IN LAGOS IS NOW UNITED UNDER ONE UMBRELLA--UTORJI

The President of Nsukwe Development Union, Lagos Mr. Christopher Utorji has stated that peace has returned to Nsukwe community in Lagos as the two warring groups are now reunited under one umbrella and embraced peace. Mr Utorji, who stated this in an interview with  Ubscope said that although some people are still opposing the peace initiative but efforts are being made to pacify them and bring them on board. Speaking on the efforts he had personally made on this, he said that he had contacted members of this group one on one through phone calls and visitations. where he tried to make them see reason for the peaceful resolution of the matter and the need to embrace peace and unity for the sake of development at home. SAD NEWS FROM UMUOSU AND AMIBO.

This is sad news coming from the home front of Ogbuehis in Umuime, Umuosu Ubakala. One of their sons Elder Boniface Ogbuehi is dead He died on 9th January, 2023, just three months after the burial of his mother. Late Boniface Ogbuehi, who was the elder brother' of late Godfrey Ogbuehi has been battling with health challenge for the past five years. This explained why he retired back home from Lagos. While in Lagos, he was an active member of OEAU Lagos, Alaocha Ubakala Development Union and by extension Ubakala Improvement Union, Lagos. He  played vital roles in the Oganihu Umuime Meeting, Lagos in the 90s.  He held various positions such as vice chairman and chairman and in consideration of his dedication and commitment to the cause of  Oganihu Umuime meeting Lagos, he was recommended for Eldership position in OEAU Lagos, in the early 2010s A very affectionate and disciplined personality. The is sequel to the  release of his delayed promotion to the rank of Professor of Economics by  the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.. Following the withdrawal of the Abia State Polytechnic accreditation by the National Board of Technical Education NBTE, due to the failure of the institution to pay staff salaries and allowances for over 30 years, the Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, who viewed the decision of NBTE against the Polytechnic as very embarrassing,  announced the immediate dissolution and suspension of the  council and management of Abia State Polytechnic. and approved the constitution of a task force to restore the withdrawn accreditation within thirty days. Sir (Dr)  John Nwadighoha wasm appointed alongside five others as members of the task force, with Prof.. JUBILATION IN ABAM AS HRH Eze FRIDAY IHUOMA WINS IN COURT

Following the judgement of the Umuahia High Court, which struk out the suit brought against HRH Eze Friday Ihuoma by some ex presidents general of Abam Welfare Union (F), jubilations rocked Abam community. Some members of the community on hearing the judgement of the Umuahia High Court, trooped out to the street, dancing and singing victorious songs Accompanied with drums and local entertainers, the jubilant members of the community converged at HRH's palace to celebrate the victory It will be recalled that after the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu had given HRH Eze Friday Ihuoma staff of office and his subsequent coronation which was done some weeks later, the ex- presidents general led by High Chief Uche Martins had dragged him and his prime minister to Umuahia High Court, where they obtained injunction that ordered status quo to be maintained until the determination of the case. Uwaoma Nzenwa Ndukuba, the Secretary General U.I.U (F)  and 49 other eminent Nigerians were on Saturday 7th January, 2023, inducted into the knighthood of  Saint Christopher in the Anglican Diocese Umuahia. The event was performed by the Anglican Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, His Lordship Rt. Revd. Dr. Geoffrey O. Ibeabuachi at St Stephen Cathedral, Umuahia Abia State.       Bishop Ibeabuchi, during the induction sermon charged the newly inducted  knights to live a life  worthy  their divine calling  Sir Uwaoma Ndukuba, in his remarks, appreciated God for His faithfulness upon his life right from birth, adding that he would continue  to be committed to activities of God.
