REMEMBERING THE BEST AKUMA UKWU MGBARAKUMA NEVER HAD
The Omeruoha I of Mgbarakuma and the former Traditional Prime Minister of Mgbarakuma Autonomous Community, Late High Chief Paul Nwokocha died on 8th January, 2016, just two weeks after he had celebrated his 80th Birthday. It would be recalled that Chief Nwokocha clocked 80 years on 26th December, 2015 and a get together party was held in his honour by his children. The celebration which took place in his compound attracted his friends, colleagues, relations and numerous well wishers. And any one who saw him on that occasion would never believe that he would die two weeks later. He looked fresh, healthy and youthful, going round to ensure guests had enough to eat and drink. The news of his death came like a deadly blow on the people of Mgbarakuma more significantly the Umuoka village, where he hailed from. He died at the time Ndi Mgbarakuma, as well as Ubakala were still in dire need of his wise counsel and benefit from his rich fountain of knowledge. He was a role model in Mgbaraku
