HOW UBAKALA ELITE CLUB, DYNAMICS FRIENDS OF NIGERIA WAS SET UP 37 YEARS AGO.


The Dynamic Friends of Nigeria is a sociocultural organization that was founded in1985 by 8 positive and goal oriented friends, with the spirit of uniting people of like minds, for social interactions.


The 8 visionary founders were Dyn. (Sir) Nwabueze Aruocha, who was the pioneer president, HRH Eze Bonniface Onyemachi, who was the pioneer Secretary, Dyn (Sir) Udo Ogbuehi, who provided venue for the initial meetings, Dyn (Chief) Godspower Amechi, the immediate past president. Others include Dyn. (Sirl F.R.C Ugorli, Dyn.(Engr.) Azunna Nwaokocha, Dyn.(Elder) Emma Ahiwe and Dyn. Enyinna  ukatta ( portol)

From 8 members in 1985, membership of the club now stands at about 70 active members, including  traditional rulers,  traditional prime minister and palace secretaries, 
The current president of the club is Dyn (Arc) Eze Umesi, an accomplished architect and businessman


The eligibility for membership is indigeneship of Ubakala ( and prospective members must be christian, literate, matured/discipline in mind and indeed and also usefully engaged in any aspect of lawful human endeavor.

The club seeks to promote positive contributions aimed at the social, economic and political progress of members and the association, foster Peace and unity within Ubakala and beyond, set enviable standard worthy emulation, inculcate into members spirit of total commitment and active participation in the affairs of the club and ensure Ubakala takes its rightful position in Abia State.

Members meet every third Sunday of the month. Hosting is rotational among members.




Members come to the meeting with their wives, who also enjoy the same status as their husbands. Even widows among them enjoy all the rights and privileges.

The club also runs a thrift and credit cooperative society and is subscribed to by all members as a matter of obligation

The club welfare activities have always been focused on visits to orphanages, old people and welfare homes, where items such as drugs, food items and clothing materials are donated. It also gives out scholarships to indigent students


As a form of assistance to members, financial gifts are presented to them in commemoration of special events like wedding, naming and coronations. Attendance to such events is highly encouraged.

On Friday March 24, 2023,  Staff of Nigerian Postal Service, Enugu State gathered at the state headquarters, Ogui Road to honour the State Postal Manager, Enugu State, Mr  Ubogu Ivue Olushola as he bowed out of the Nigerian Postal Service having reach the compulsory retirement age of 60 years and after 32 years of meritorious service. WHEN UBAKALA IMPROVEMENT UNION, LAGOS CELEBRATED CULTURAL DAY

Amidst fun and funfair, Ubakala indigenes in Lagos celebrated this year Cultural Days The occasion, which was held at No 1, Osawa Drive, Okata, saw Ubakala residents in Lagos as well as their friends and well wishers from all walks of life trooped in their numbers to grace the occasion Among those in attendance were Bar. Chris Ezem, the SSG Abia State, who came all the way from Abia State, Engr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, the M.D/CEO SLOT Systems and his beautiful wife, Nkechi Ezeigbo, Elder Friday Ogbuehi, the PG,U.I.U(F), High Chief C.E Ekeke, Patron Richard Onyekwere, Mr Ken.
