HIGH CHIEF SIMEON OLUA SET FOR ANOTHER MARRIAGE

Almost a year after they gave out the hand of their daughter, Kelechi Gold in marriage to Mr. Joseph Agbebaku, the Alaocha Ubakala Patron, High Chief Simeon Olua and his amiable wife are  already making preparations to host family members, friends and well wishers to  yet another marriage. Another of their daughter, Miss Lilian Nkiruka will be getting married to her fiance, Kenneth Nnamdi Nwaosu. In a special invitation made available to Ubscope, the traditional marriage of Lilian Nkiruka Olua and Kenneth Nwaosu Nnamdi is scheduled for Saturday 8th July, 2023 at Chief Olua's compound, Abam Ubakala, Umuahia Abia State, while the Church wedding will hold on 29th July, 2023 at Christ Peculiar Church, Olodi Apapa. Reception follows at Abayomi Hall, Cardoso Street, Olodi Apapa. High Chief Olua, who is known to always hold classy events  is certain to replicate the grandeur that characterised   his daughter, Kelechi Gold and Joseph Agbebaku's wedding last year. 

DEACONESS ROSELINE 'THE QUINTESSENTIAL WIFE OF LATE UDA 1 OF UMUDA' FOR BURIAL JULY 13

All is now set for the burial of the matriarch of Nwaoha Onyemachi family, late Deaconess Roseline iheanahurunwa Onyemachi nee Onyeikedi,  who slept in the Lord on 18th July, 2022 In a special  invitation made available to Ubscope by her family, the burial ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 13th July, 2023 at her husband's compound, Umuda, Laguru Ubakala by 10 a.m. The service will be conducted by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Umuorighe. NIPOST STAFF SHOT DEAD BY CULTISTS

A NIPOST Staff, Ofuani Austine, has been killed by suspected cultists in Warri area of Delta State Ofuani,  a Snr Postal Officer 111 at the Warri district of Nigerian Postal service was attacked by his assailants in Okere Road area of the city last  Friday evening It was gathered that he was going to a restaurant across the road from his office, to eat  when the assailants approached him and  shot him. He was rushed to two different Private hospitals, which refused to admit him, He died in the third hospital he was taken to, which had requested for one hundred thousand naira deposit. MR PETER AKWADA IS DEAD

One of the chieftains of Labour party in Ubakala and a loyal advocate of Chief Alex Otti. Mr Peter Akwada is died. He died on 20th March, 2023, just a day before the declaration of Alex Otti as the winner  of the Abia State governorship election Although the cause of his death has not been disclosed, but those close to him said the tension created by the delay in  releasing the result of the Abia State governorship election might have contributed to his BP rising up and eventually leading to his death. They claimed that he was on phone for the better part of  that faithful Monday, making inquiries on the outcome of the results from isiala ngwa and Obingwa His death has been described by many as shocking, painful and a big loss to Ubakala  politics and social circle. They described him as a Businessman and politician whose contributions remain indelible in the hearts of many Ubakala people Elder Peter Akwada, aged 68 years is survived by wife and children. HRH EZE UCHEAGA FILES MOTION OF APPEAL AGAINST HIS REMOVAL

HRH Eze C A Ucheaga has filed an appeal to challenge the ruling of Umuahia High Court, which removed him as the traditional ruler of Laguru Autonomous Community. The High Court Judge had directed Abia State Governor to withdraw the staff of office from HRH Eze C.A Ucheaga and issue same  to Chief Brown Ngaddi Anozie  While delivering the judgement, justice Chido Nnamani affirmed that the process that brought HRH Eze Ucheaga to the throne was irregular, declaring them null and void, He consequently ordered him  to vacate the stool and the office of the traditional ruler of Laguru autonomous community. The judge held that the monarch was not from Azuemune, the zone whose turn it was to produce the successor to the previous Enyi 1 of Laguru, Late Eze G. Onuoha, describing his election as irregular and a breach of the provisions of Laguru Chieftaincy Laws and Customs  But HRH Eze Ucheaga swiftly rejected the ruling and described it as miscarriage of justice Weeks latter he filed an appeal

On Friday March 24, 2023,  Staff of Nigerian Postal Service, Enugu State gathered at the state headquarters, Ogui Road to honour the State Postal Manager, Enugu State, Mr  Ubogu Ivue Olushola as he bowed out of the Nigerian Postal Service having reach the compulsory retirement age of 60 years and after 32 years of meritorious service. The beauty of this retirement is that Mr. Ubogu left foot prints on the sands of time in the Nigerian Postal Service, where he served in various capacities in the course of his  career. PDP'S PETER MBA DECLARED WINNER OF ENUGU GUBER POLL

  The Peoples Democratic Party's candidate, Barr. Peter Mba has been declared winner of the Enugu State governorship election. Mba's declaration came days after controversy over results from Nkanu East LGA. Barr. Chijioke Edoga of Labour Party came second in the keenly contested election. According to the Returning Officer,  Prof. Maduebibisi Iwe, collation was taken over by INEC national headquarters, Abuja after those of them in Enugu could not have a common ground He stated that after the review of the process, the votes of the PDP was reduced from 30 359 to 16, 956 LP now has  157, 552 , while PDP polled 160,895 to emerge the winner
